Bianca & Dan’s Autumn Wedding at Tarbin Gardens

There are venues you photograph and then there are venues that photograph themselves — Tarbin Gardens in Franklin, NH is firmly in the second category. Every corner of those enchanting gardens offers something new and beautiful, and Bianca and Dan's autumn wedding gave me the opportunity to explore all of it. When Bianca described their wedding theme as a wonderful blend of witchy and nerdy, I knew immediately that Tarbin Gardens was going to be the perfect setting — a landscape that feels like it was pulled straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. I couldn't wait to get started.

My excitement only grew when I met Bianca while she was getting ready. Her infectious laughter filled the room with joy and immediately set the tone for the day. The radiant bride wore a perpetual smile — except for when I asked otherwise for a photo — and her genuine happiness was impossible not to feel. As Bianca stepped into her stunning dress, her bridesmaids were right there beside her, making sure every detail was perfect before her first look with Dan.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the gardens, Dan waited nervously — completely unaware of just how breathtaking his bride looked. The moment Bianca approached and he turned around, his eyes said everything words couldn't. Tears welled up and spilled over before he could say a single thing — one of those raw, unguarded moments that reminds me exactly why I love photographing weddings. Tarbin Gardens offered the perfect backdrop for that first look — lush, intimate, and utterly enchanting — with a new and beautiful setting waiting around every turn for their portrait session that followed.

Following their first look and portrait session, we made our way to the formal garden for the ceremony — and if there was ever a setting designed for a witchy, enchanting wedding, this was it. Hedges and flowerbeds lined each side of the aisle, and an arbor draped with ancient grape vines framed the altar in a way that felt genuinely timeless. A bagpiper led the procession, adding a layer of tradition and drama that sent chills down my spine. As Bianca's father walked her down the aisle and placed her hand in Dan's, the moment was everything a wedding ceremony should be — emotional, intimate, and completely surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that Tarbin Gardens does better than anywhere else in New Hampshire.

Bianca and Dan's wedding at Tarbin Gardens was one of those days I'll never forget — the enchanting gardens, the infectious laughter, and those heartfelt tears of joy made for a perfect combination. Tarbin Gardens is one of my absolute favorite venues in New Hampshire and I would love nothing more than to return for another wedding or engagement session.
